Privacy notice

Privacy and cookies.

How information is handled when you visit this website, contact the project, or choose to support it.

Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Matteo Ferranti, the creator of the personal project FlameSworn Studio. For information or to exercise your rights, contact [email protected].

This notice covers flameswornstudio.com and its pages, including those dedicated to AetherForge Converter. It does not replace the privacy notices of external websites linked from this site.

Browsing and security

The website uses Cloudflare for hosting, content delivery, and traffic protection. This service may process technical information such as IP addresses, request dates and times, requested pages, and browser information to deliver the website and maintain security.

The purpose is to make the pages available and prevent abuse or attacks. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in operating and securing the website under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Technical information needed for the connection is transmitted automatically during your visit.

Email messages

If you write to [email protected] or [email protected], your email address and any information you include in your message or attachments will be processed. Messages sent to the domain addresses are forwarded through Cloudflare Email Routing to an Outlook mailbox provided by Microsoft.

This information is used to read and respond to your request, handle reports, and follow up on the conversation. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in responding to incoming requests. Sending a message is optional; without a contact address it will not be possible to reply. Please avoid sending sensitive or unnecessary information.

Support through Ko-fi

The support button opens an external Ko-fi page. This website does not embed payment forms or Ko-fi widgets.

If you make a contribution, Ko-fi and the payment service may make your name or display name, email address, optional message, and transaction information available to the controller. This information is used to manage the contribution, related enquiries, and applicable legal obligations, not to automatically subscribe you to promotional messages.

The legal bases are the legitimate interest in managing support and, where applicable, compliance with legal obligations under Article 6(1)(c) GDPR. For processing carried out independently by Ko-fi and payment services, read their notices before proceeding: Ko-fi.

Cookies and tracking technologies

The website does not set profiling cookies or integrate advertising, marketing tools, or social widgets. Images, the Ko-fi logo, animations, and videos are served by this website itself. Preferences are not stored using localStorage or sessionStorage.

Cloudflare security features may use technical cookies when necessary, for example during anti-abuse checks. Their types and lifetimes depend on the enabled features and are described in the Cloudflare documentation. Strictly necessary cookies do not require prior consent. If tools requiring consent are introduced, this notice and the relevant choices will be updated before those tools are enabled.

Service providers and external links

Information may be processed by providers needed to operate the website, forward and manage email, and manage contributions, according to the respective roles defined by their services. Further information is available in the privacy notices of Cloudflare, Microsoft / Outlook, and Ko-fi.

Links to GitHub, LinkedIn, and Ko-fi open external websites only when selected. Browsing and downloading on those sites are covered by their own privacy notices. The controller does not sell personal data.

Processing outside the European Economic Area

The services used may involve processing outside the European Economic Area. Providers describe their processing locations and applicable transfer mechanisms, such as adequacy decisions and standard contractual clauses, in their own notices. You may ask the controller for information about the safeguards applicable to your data.

How long information is kept

Messages and attachments are kept for the time needed to handle the request and any follow-up. The criteria are the length of the conversation and the need to retain its content to handle reports or protect legal rights; information is not retained for promotional purposes.

Contribution information is kept to manage the transaction and meet any applicable statutory retention periods. Retention of technical information and copies kept independently by providers depends on the service and its retention policies.

Your rights

Where the GDPR applies, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, and data portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. If processing were based on consent, you could withdraw it without affecting the processing carried out before withdrawal.

Send requests to [email protected]. You may also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority or the competent supervisory authority. The controller does not carry out user profiling or automated decisions with legal effects through this website.

Updates

This notice will be updated if the services or processing described change. The date at the top indicates the latest revision.
